Martindale Farm is located in the Eastern Cape of South Africa in the historic farming community of Martindale. We are 30 kms (18 miles) from both Port Alfred and Grahamstown. We are only 18 kms (11 miles) from Bathurst. On very clear days you are able to see the sea (ocean) from our front stoop.

The property is 7.3 ha (18.50 acres) with a main house of 425 square meters (4,575 square feet) and a total of 14 rooms. These rooms include 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, lounge/dining room with a fireplace in the corner in the lounge portion, a pub room, a library room and a huge walk-in storage room which can be locked. Also there is a kitchen, scullery (mud room) and a large second lounge area off the pub room, which could be used as an entertainment area, family room or any number of other uses.

Located on the property is a 150 square meter (1,615 square feet) steel constructed workshop/parking garage. This building too has an inside workshop that is lockable.

Located on the opposite side of the road from the main house is a small cottage/granny flat which is 75 square meters (807 square feet). This however does need some TLC. In fact I would suggest the entire kitchen be gutted and rebuilt, but that choice is yours and what you wish to do on that side of the property.

There are free-range chickens roaming the property that is providing us with farm fresh eggs everyday. Nothing better than fresh home grown eggs instead of those mass produced in the chicken factories.

Martindale Farm is like being on holiday everyday, except you get to sleep in your own bed every night.
